ABOUT PEMF

Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) involves the use of electromagentic fields to stimulate a subject’s body to help resolve cellular disfunction and promote healing and general wellness.

By applying magnetic energy waves to a person or aninmal’s body an interaction at the cellular level takes place, specifically with the subject’s cell membranes. For various reasons, including illness and injury, our cells’ ability to function effectively can be reduced.

PEMF works with your body’s natural magnetic field to improve its natural ability to heal and recover. The magnetic energy waves produced in PEMF promote electrolyte and ion production in cells, which improve cellular functioning.

Similar to recharging batteries (battery cells), PEMF can optimize the health of your body’s cells, producing a wealth of benefits.

BENEFITS

 Humans

From reducing inflammation, to boosting energy, PEMF therapy offers a full host of benefits to humans. The best part? It’s simple, painless and non-invasive, unlike most surgeries.

Animals

Animals, much like humans, can suffer injuries in their lifetime, or be burdened by inflammatory illnesses, or chronic pain. PEMF therapy offers a simple, affordable, and effective solution to help your horse or dog return to living life to the fullest.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does PEMF work?

Pulsed PEMF therapy sends magnetic energy into the body. These energy waves work with your body’s natural magnetic field to improve healing. The magnetic fields help you to increase electrolytes and ions. This naturally influences electrical changes on a cellular level and influences cellular metabolism.

Is PEMF therapy safe?

PEMF therapy is non-invasive, and safe more almost all people and animals. There are some exceptions, such as in cases where a patient has a pacemaker, insulin pump or other electrical implement, or for pregannt women/animals. If you’re unsure about whether or not PEMF may be right for you, please contact us.

How much PEMF therapy should i use?

You can use PEMF therapy daily, but current research suggests that seeking therapy more than once per day is not advisable. For great results, we recommend at least twice per week. However, each case and patient is unique, and we customize our treatment approach for your individual needs. Please contact us to discuss.

How long do your PEMF treatments last?

Our base treatment is 30 minutes for canines and humans. Spot treatments (ex. for a non-unionized joint) usually last 15-20 minutes. Full-body, equine therapy sessions are 60 minutes.

How do I prepare for my PEMF treatment?

It is highly recommended to drink plenty of water prior to treatment, as well as during and after treament. PEMF therapy works to detoxify your system, which can lead to deyhration.
